Somerville, MA, September 24, 2021— Fathom Optics, a printed packaging effects software company, will be demonstrating their design tools and patented technology in person at multiple converter and brand events this fall. The software platform brings one-of-a-kind 3D and motion graphics to printed packaging without requiring specialty inks, substrates, or additional materials such as lenticular lenses or foils.
Fathom will be showcasing its award-winning technology at Label Congress (September 29-30), FTA Fall Conference (October 3-6), TLMI Annual Meeting (October 17-19), Luxe Pack New York (October 27-28) and the AWA & TLMI International Sleeve Label Conference (November 10-12).
With brands consistently looking for new innovations, Fathom Effects offer an economical and environmentally-friendly solution for eye-catching embellishments, especially when there is a significant volume of labels being printed. Tom Baran, CEO, explains, “Fathom Effects can be run at full speed, so using Fathom as a key part of a package design can remove foil costs, allow jobs to run more quickly, and can incorporate highly customized effect designs—a threefold benefit to converters.”
Fathom Effects are best seen live, where the viewer can fully appreciate the dimensionality, motion and shimmer of the labels as customers would in a retail setting. Baran says, “We’re thrilled to be at these five events with samples and sneak peaks of coming effects.” Visitors to these events will experience previews of new effects.
Additionally, Fathom Optics has been rolling out its technology to new packaging types and print platforms (e.g. digital presses, paperboard, tube) with new applications arriving almost weekly. Baran concludes, “We want to work with printers and converters to really push the envelope with the customers and markets that are most interesting to them.”
Converters unable to attend these events can receive a free Fathom Effects sample pack to add to their materials and embellishments library. Additionally, the company is offering all producers (converters) a show special for 20% off a Fathom Producer Start-up Pack.
